Famous Nouveau Artists

Giovanni Segantini (1858 - 1899)
Giovanni Segantini was an Italian painter who spent the majority of his career in the Swiss Alps. Giovanni started out painting landscapes and figures and developed a taste for a more naturalistic style. - I like Segantni puts colors together and how the lines in his work makes the come alive

Gustav Klimt (1862 - 1918)
born in Vienna and trained at the School of Applied Arts, Klimt began his work as a decorative painter. His works include murals, sketches, and paintings. In 1876, Klimt was awarded a scholarship to the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts. - Klimt art has a very traditional Art nouveau feel.

Ferdinand Hodler (1853 - 1918)
Ferdinand Hodler was born in Berne but worked mostly out of Geneva. He is well known as one the greatest Swiss painters in the late 19th Century. The works of Hodler's early maturity consisted of landscapes, figure compositions and portraits. - I like the way Hodler has such a realistic look to all his art work.

Opacity , Tint, Hue

Opacity: the degree in which light is blocked.

Tint: A mixture of a color with white.

Hue: the degree to which a stimulus can be described as similar to or different from stimuli that are described as red, green, blue, and yellow.

Color choice

Seduction (dark purple)
Aquamarine
Heather plum

I would like to use the aquamarine and heather plum because both colors complement each others along with the color choices on the wings.
